Jomsom to Muktinath Trek: Don’t just dream, let’s experience the stunning trails of Jomsom-Muktinath Trekking. We will take you to the majestic routes leading to the spiritual vibes of Muktinath premises. Jomsom (2,743 m) is also known as Dzong Sampa, which means New Ford in English. It’s the center of Gharpajong VDC, in Nepal’s Mustang district. Jomsom to Muktinath distance is merely 25 kilometers via Kagbeni and Muktinath Sadak. Muktinath (3,800m) is a holy temple of Lord Vishnu. Every year during August on the occasion of full moon Hindu pilgrims, explore Muktinath temple.
Additionally, Pilgrims from both Nepal and India visit Muktinath temple for a dip bath into the holy 108 water spring of this temple. Besides this, the stunning views of hidden treasures, mountain deserts, big stones, Himalayan vistas from Muktinath are astonishing. Popular events in the Muktinath area leading to Upper Mustang include Horse races, Drinking and dancing rituals by local Thakali peoples, etc.
Our Jomsom to Muktinath trek begins from a scenic Kathmandu City Tour, and from here, we will go for an aerial fly to Pokhara airport. From Pokhara, we will trek to Ulleri and further stretch gradually to Ghorepani, Poonhill, Tadapani, Ghasa, Marpha, etc. Likewise, we will extend further to Kagbeni, Muktinath, and divert to scenic Jomsom once again. After reaching Jomsom, we will enjoy the fascinating flow of Kaligandaki river and take an aerial flyover to Pokhara.
So, after reaching Pokhara, we will either opt for an aerial route to Kathmandu or strive for a scenic road trip. It concludes our Jomsom to Muktinath Trek.

Day 01: Kathmandu Arrival (1400m),
We will receive you at Kathmandu, TIA airport. After this, our representative will transfer you towards the Hotel via a private vehicle. During the evening session, we will guide you about the trip and prepare accordingly. Overnight at Kathmandu,
Day 02: Kathmandu City Tour:
We will enjoy a stunning morning environment of Kathmandu and have breakfast. After having breakfast, we will guide you towards the religious trip to Pashupatinath temple and Bouddhanath. Both Pashupatinath and Bouddhanath are popular heritage sites listed under the UNESCO world heritage sites. Later on in the evening, we will go shopping at Thamel and stay overnight at the Hotel.
Day 03: Fly from Kathmandu to Pokhara; Start trekking to Ulleri (2000m); 5 Hrs,
We will fly to Pokhara in the morning session, enjoying a scenic aerial portrait of Nepalese Himalayas. After we reach Pokhara, we will go for a Jeep drive to Nayapul, and its nearly 2-3 Hours of the beautiful trip. We will initiate our trek to Ulleri, and along the routes, we will encounter several suspension bridges over refreshing rivers. Overnight at Ulleri,
Day 04: Trekking from Ulleri (2000m) to Ghorepani (2750m); 7 Hrs,
We will continue our trek witnessing various grace of Himalayan geographies, as we ascend and descend several routes. Along the pathways, we will encounter multiple stops while leading to Ghorepani. Importantly, we will have lunch during the mid-day session and resume our way to Ghorepani. Overnight stay at Ghorepani,
Day 05: Climb to PoonHill (Early Morning); Trek to Tatopani (1,190m), 6 Hrs:
After a refreshing wakeup in the morning, we will enjoy breakfast. With this, we will resume our trails as we lead to Poon Hill. Importantly, while moving forward, we will witness prodigious views of mountain vistas, floras, faunas, villages, and marvelous geographies. We will have breakfast at Ghorepani, and after breakfast, we will continue towards Tatopani. We will stay overnight at Tatopani,
Day 06: Trekking from Tatopani (1190m) to Ghasa (2110m); 6 Hrs,
We will have breakfast and strive our way to Ghasa crossing the thrilling Kaligandaki bridge. Moving forward, we will witness Kaligandaki gorge, which is the world’s deepest gorge.
Similarly, we will cross suspension bridges a couple of times while leading our way to Tatopani. We will pass over gallant waterfalls and walk steadily to Ghasa, which is the lower part of KAligandaki valley. We will stay overnight at Ghasa,
Day 07: Start trekking from Ghasa (2110m) to Marpha (2680m), 5 Hrs:
We will travel to Marpha as we ascend downhill, crossing the subtropical forests. Initially, we will head to Lete valley, and after this, we will continue towards the beautiful village of Larjung. While leading close to Marpha, we will witness ample of apple orchards and vegetations. Such apple orchards are the prominent attractions of Marpha. We will stay overnight at Marpha,
Day 08: Trekking from Marpha (2680m) to Kagbeni (2810m), 5 Hrs:
Leaving the memorable journey of Marpha, we will continue towards Kagbeni. We will extend the hilly ridge while leading to Jomsom village.
Furthermore, we will continue gradually towards Kaligandaki. We will witness views of mountains like Dhaulagiri, Tukeche, Nilgiri while encompassing Eklebhatti village. Overnight stay at Kagbeni,
Day 09: Trek from Kagbeni (3710m) to Muktinath (3710m), 6 Hrs:
We will have breakfast, as we lead to Muktinath following the bank of Kaligandaki river. Along the way, we will see various steep paths from Kagbeni to Khingar. We will encounter the beautiful serenity of Himalayan vistas. Moving forward, we will reach Jarkot, as we climb uphills through the desert landscapes. From here, Muktinath is just a bit distance, as we will stay overnight at Muktinath,
Day 10: Trekking from Muktinath (3710m) to Jomsom (2710m), 6 Hrs,
We will enjoy a scenic and spiritual vibes of Muktinath Temple, which is a sacred site for both Hindus and Buddhists. Here, we will witness the great harmony of Buddhist and Hindu, heritages. From here, we will see several Tibetan markets around the premises. We will incline steep, as we head towards Jomsom observing the views of Mt. Dhaulagiri and Mt. Annapurna Massif. Overnight at Jomsom,
Day 11: Scenic Fly from Jomsom to Pokhara,
We will have a short flight from Jomsom to Pokhara (25 Minutes). Aerial view offers stunning mountain glimpses of Mt. Dhaulagiri and Mt. Annapurna. We will land in Pokhara, where we will explore beautiful places and do some stimulating activities. It includes boating in Lake Fewa and roaming at Lakeside. Overnight at Pokhara,
Day 12: Drive from Pokhara to Kathmandu,
We will have breakfast, as we leave Pokhara via private bus towards Kathmandu. Along the routes, we will explore stunning views of terraced hills, rivers, villages, etc. After reaching Kathmandu, we will take rest for a while, and based on our timing; we will go shopping around Thamel. We will stay overnight at Kathmandu,
Day 13: Departure:
We will guide you towards the airport, as we will transfer you via our private vehicle and wave a final goodbye.
